This is great news as she is pretty tired of being in the hospital. She finished her first round of chemo yesterday and because she is so susceptible to any kind of germs now, they really want her away from a place that obviously is like germ central. She sounds really good, they have adjusted her medication and will either go home tonight or tomorrow. So far she hasn’t had any trouble from the chemo, though it is still early. The good news is today’s chemo sessions are nothing like the chemo sessions of the 70’s, 80’s or even 90’s. The side effects are not as bad and they have good medications to combat what side effects there are. This isn’t to say this will be a picnic, but we have a lot of hope it wont be too terrible for her.
